Baptizing Muhammed

Sunset in England
Church out in Woodhouse... not one of ours, but still really cool.
Baptizing Muhammed
The fog this morning!
City Center. Hoping it wouldn't be bombed. :(
Brother McEwen, our ward mission leader, after he made us a pretty lit barbecue.

Haha don't worry if you forget to email me. I'm honestly fine haha(yes, I forgot to email him on Sunday, but usually he doesn't email me til later on Monday anyway, but I woke up to a letter this week... and I was able to write him back while he was still online)

Church

CPR, to revive any of the spiritually dying.

I did meet Ace(Our neighbor's cat)! Are he and Abby friends now(uh... no. Abby is an indoor cat)?? Yeah karlee is perfect for that(taking care of cats for people)!

Hmm. Homecoming Series... is it pretty good?? How do you mean it's like the book of mormon(It's just a story very similar to the story in The Book of Mormon. OSC is a master storyteller, so it's awesome to read, but a little... earthy)?

We had a bunch of investigators drop us, but we're doing fine. We baptized Muhammed, peace be upon him ;)

“Faith in Christ is inextricably tied to and results in hope in Christ for our redemption and exaltation. And assurance and hope make it possible for us to walk to the edge of the light and take a few steps into the darkness—expecting and trusting the light to move and illuminate the way."

I'm getting better at basketball. Actually pretty decent. Helps that Elder Boswell is a master and is teaching me(Who are you and what have you done with my genes?).

I love you so much, Mom. I can hardly express it(I love you too, baby!)

Small and Simple Things

a quote from conference:

"I have observed that those who are deliberate about doing the “small and simple things”—obeying in seemingly little ways—are blessed with faith and strength that go far beyond the actual acts of obedience themselves and, in fact, may seem totally unrelated to them. It may seem hard to draw a connection between the basic daily acts of obedience and solutions to the big, complicated problems we face. But they are related. In my experience, getting the little daily habits of faith right is the single best way to fortify ourselves against the troubles of life, whatever they may be. Small acts of faith, even when they seem insignificant or entirely disconnected from the specific problems that vex us, bless us in all we do."

The Lord is incredible. It's remarkably simple. Just follow the Savior, do what He's asked you to do. The guidance you receive from personal prayers are you personal commandments. If you don't follow the answers you receive, you close yourself not only to future guidance, but you close the windows of heaven, bit by bit.
The work is great. We struggle to get people to church right now. Other than that, we should be baptising a Kurdish bloke named Muhammed this Saturday,  and then another Kurdish bloke named Dilshad the week after! But we have 12 new investigators or summit like that!
Esmaiel, baptized a couple monf ago. Wearing my badge and bag

getting a haircut? finally. JK. I think this is his second haircut.
I love this work. It is so much fun! I'm learning so much from elder Fife. He's such a good bloke! I love this gospel, I love missionary work. The Savior is able to empty our lives of all our misdeeds, and so He is able to FILL it with the things of a better world, the actions, the desires. All this can be ours, if we but choose to follow the Savior. To quote Shia LaBeouf, "Just do it!"
"Ever hear of Spencer W. Kimball?" I asked him. :)
